Core responsibilities (must-have):
- We are looking for an engineer with complete DevOps and cloud infrastructure ownership, not just deployment experience.
Cloud and infrastructure:
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
- Own production, staging, and development environments.
- Implement best practices for security, availability, and cost optimization across multi-cloud setups.
Kubernetes and containers:
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS).
- Containerize applications using Docker.
- Handle service deployments, scaling, and rolling updates.
- Ensure reliability and fault tolerance of containerized workloads.
CI/CD and automation:
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend and frontend applications.
- Automate deployments, testing, and environment provisioning.
- Reduce manual operations through scripting and automation.
Monitoring and reliability:
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Ensure high uptime and fast incident response.
- Debug infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and observability.
Collaboration and ownership:
- Work closely with backend (Django) and frontend (Next.js) teams.
- Collaborate with founders on infrastructure and multi-cloud strategy.
- Balance speed, reliability, security, and cost in a fast-moving startup.
- Take full ownership of infrastructure decisions and outcomes.
Tools and skills:
- Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Linux system administration skills.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including VPCs, VNets, load balancers, and DNS.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Good to have:
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Knowledge of security best practices and cloud compliance.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
- Cost optimization and performance tuning experience.
Experience requirement:
- 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering.
- Experience managing production systems.
- Hands-on experience with containerized and cloud-native applications.
Who should apply:
- Engineers passionate about building reliable and scalable systems.
- Individuals who take ownership rather than only executing tasks.
- Builders who enjoy infrastructure, automation, and scaling challenges.
- Engineers seeking real responsibility, impact, and growth.
What you’ll get:
- Ownership of cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
- Direct collaboration with founders and the core engineering team.
- Opportunity to influence platform architecture and cloud strategy.
- High learning curve, real-world impact, and long-term growth.
